Purnululu National Park has two main sections, at the southern end you have Cathedral Gorge and Piccaninny Creek with the classic Bungle Bungle bee hive domes; while the northern section of the park features Echidna Chasm and Mini Palms Gorge which have been formed from conglomerate rock.

This photo was taken on the way into Echidna Chasm and shows the conglomerate very clearly. It also shows the fantastic colours you get when the sunlight bounces off the red cliff face for hundreds of feet before reaching the bottom of the chasm.

This is a 12-shot (4x3) stiched image...



...and normally I would start shooting at the top left then go right and down like reading a book.

When this person stopped to take their own photo I thought I would have to wait until they left, but I quickly realised that in fact they helped by adding some scale. So in a panic I realigned the camera and took the bottom-left frame before they moved, then proceeded to take the other 11 frames.
