An even briefer chronicle this time in an attempt to catch up (still).

Till next time then, and remember,

Don't Dream it, Be it!

A farm house on the way into Bundaberg.

#35319 - Farm house, Bundaberg, QLD

The Millequin sugar mill.

I used to work for it's sister mill at Bingera. Bingera has now closed down and as far as I'm concerned it couldn't have happened to a better place, I hated it there.

The floor sheeting is all done.

We have spread out all the gravel, we'll need at least one more truck load.

Water delivery for our friend, she got two loads and we got one just to give us something to use when the plumbing is done. I haven't paid for water since we did the same for our first two tanks about ten years ago, and doubt I'll ever have to do so again.

Fri 19 Jul 2024

Did someone say we need another load of gravel?

A nice landscape I saw while out and about today.

Sun 21 Jul 2024

It's camera club meeting today so I go into town early to look for some images.

The kitchen will have a vinyl floor and the rolls come in 4-meter widths, so while we have a clear area in the lounge room we lay the roll out to cut closer to the size required for the kitchen.

Then move the sheet into the kitchen, which of course had to have the furniture moved out first.

Geri is our resident floor layer.

All done, and what kitchen furniture we have moved back into place.

Time to build a carcass for the kitchen sink.

Most peole build kitchen cabinets with melomine or some other form of chip board, of course I do most things in steel.

Mon 29 Jul 2024

This is the basic layout of the rooms.

There will be dividing wall and some cabinetry in the center to house the fridge and freezer. And that old sofa will go before long, we got it for free and it's comfortable enough I guess, but too large for the room and anyway short people's legs don't reach the ground on the two recliners.

Some pics while out around the Bundaberg port area.

More pics, this time at Booyal while driving down to Hervey Bay.

The new house layout from the other side.

Tue 13 Aug 2024

We love the pond in the Zen garden.

Rain rain go away...at least untill I get the downpipes install to the new tanks.

Mon 19 Aug 2024

We found this little guy on the road near it's dead Mum.

At this age he might survive but most don't I think due to shock. But we take him to a local wildlife carer and she seems to think he had a good chance.

Yeah some vinyl makes a big difference eh? As for running out of hobbies, yeah right

Robert
No that will be lined, there is provision for windows on both sides but I'm not sure about them yet.

Geoff
Sometimes dropping in once a year is enough But I'm trying to be more frequent. Yeah the place is being transformed lately.
